Why You Should Juice

Adam and Eve were vegetarians.

      For a little while anyway…

You probably don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables. I don’t. I want to, but I don’t. Even if you did; it might not be enough. Don’t feel defeated… there is a solution!

Juicing your own raw foods (fruits, veggies, leafy greens and wheatgrass)

Fresh juice provides us with minerals, vitamins, essential fatty acids, carbohydrates, proteins and much more.

To receive maximum benefit from fruit and vegetables we need to juice them to release the nutrients from their fiber. Normally this fiber moves through our systems without releasing the nutrients to our bodies. Juicing enables us to receive the nutrient directly, in a highly concentrated form.

Store bought is not the answer. Juice from the store loses nutrients in the manufacturing process and sits on the shelf for a period of time. More fiber is removed from commercial juices and they are pasteurized and may be blended with a number of preservatives and additives to improve shelf life. Fresh juice from fresh produce in your kitchen can’t get any more nutritious. If you can pick locally grown, vine ripened… even better!

Antioxidants protect the body’s cells and DNA from damage; now we are learning more from compounds called Phytonutrients that act as antioxidants in our body. What are Phytonutrients; they are natural, active compounds found in plants including fruits, vegetables and their juices. They work with other plant nutrients to help protect against disease and promote good health.

The main role of Phytonutrients is to reduce the negative effects of free radicals in our blood. These free radicals have a negative impact on our body in that they cause our cells to become weak and less active. Antioxidants help cell regeneration by eliminating free radicals which helps our bodies stay immune to outside diseases. They are among the best compounds for rejuvenating our bodies.

Researchers have identified thousands of different types of Phytonutrient compounds, which protect the body in different ways; and while these compounds are not listed on the nutrition label, God put them in there for good reason.

Old or young, juicing is good for your body. It’s natural and contains all the good stuff God intended.
